‘Zeitgeschichte digital’ Prize

The Association of Friends and Patrons of the ZZF Potsdam e. V. has been awarding the ‘Zeitgeschichte digital’ prize annually since 2017. It is endowed with a total of 1,000 euros and is the first award in Germany to be dedicated to digital publications in the historical sciences. The prize is named after a ZZF internet platform that links the four online services developed and edited at the institute, including Docupedia, Visual History, zeitgeschichte | online and Zeithistorische Forschungen.

Carolin Liebisch-Gümüş and Andreas Kötzing (2024), Raphael Rössel and Lena Herenz (2023) Rüdiger Bergien, Sophie Genske, Juliane Röleke (2022), Michael Homberg (2021), Gangolf Hübinger and Kim Christian Priemel (2020), Jutta Braun (2019), Jens Jäger (2018) and Harriet Scharnberg and Gerhard Paul (2017).
Since 2022, prizes have been awarded in two categories: Science and Science Communication. The prize money in each category is 500 euros.
